Lime Water

I have just started using Rowa Calk, at 1 Tspoon per gallon,

Have read most of the articles, but - is the final product supposed to be completely clear, using ro/di ?? with of course the settling on bottom.

If not have I a bad batch?

It takes a while to settle, and some folks find that it hasn't fully cleared even after 24 h. If not covered, it always stays cloudy, and some people find it stays cloudy even if covered.

I'd let it settle overnight or longer, and use it then regardless of how cloudy it still looks.

Some reefers even add limewater not settled, so completely milky.

I sent the question in haste after thinking it should have cleared over night, it actually took around 13 hours.

Some folks do it. The potential drawback is that impurities in the lime get delivered to the tank when they might otherwise settle out (phosphate, copper, etc).
