Linkia Stars

I had a blue for about 4 years in a 90 to a 200 gal who was all over my rock. I don't know what got it, but unfortunately once one leg didn't look good, the starfish just went downhill from there.
They can be tough to acclimate, but once in, imo can do very well.

I have also heard that linka multiflora is the best to go for, and reproducing asexually (I think!) means doesn't need a partner to help out! The starfish drops a leg and the body and the other legs grow from it, like bacteria etc.

I've had my Blue Linkia almost 18 months now and it's doing fine. I bought it from a lady that has had it over one year so it's going on 2.5 years old now. Mine has just defied the odds. It's a long story but I had no other choice when I was starting but than to put it through a brank new tank, the cycle and everything. I was convinced it would die but the LFS's in my area wouldn't take it and I couldn't find it a home anywhere. It's gone from the brand new 125 to a 75 where it lives now. It's constantly active, cruising all over my tank every day.

oh yeah, it even survived a large gash in it's leg. everyone on here said it was on it's way out but it healed up and has been doing fine since (six months now)
