LIRA meetings???

I am moving to long island(mastic) in a couple weeks and was intrested in joining LIRA.I want to start up a tank sometime in the near future and thought a club would be a great way to get into the hobby.I was wondering where you guys usually meet.I would be unable to travel back and forth across the island.Any information would be great.I do visit the website,but not a whole lot of info on there.

The meetings are at Dowling College in Oakdale, about a 20-30 minute drive from Mastic. I'm new in the club and have only been 2 meetings so someone else will probably chime in with more info, but it's a great club. Every meeting seems to have good demos and speakers and there is just an enourmous amount of knowledge and experience in that little room.
