Thanks Bob even this old timer learned something. I know a couple of guys using stump remover for nitrates, personally I worry about impurities so I just add more fish and sorry there is no way I'm dosing bleach....LOL

Thanks Bob. Always an interesting and thought provoking conversation with you.

There's no way I'm adding bleach to the reef.

Maybe I will experiment on my 30g QT. The only time I use bleach is to clean out the QT when I break it down, which usually happens over the summer. I'll think about giving this a try before I break it down in a few weeks.
