Today my wife calls me when I was at the store and tells me that my tank was over flowing, when I got home I found that my JBJ auto top off fed 7 gallons of fresh water into my sump. Everyone is fine but that's it I'm going all out and buying the best, Iv'e always wanted the Liter Meter3 for dosing and the constant water change option but I think it will also auto top off, if it doesn't auto top off then I will also buy the Tunze Osmulator. can anyone here tell me what they think of these two unit's before I blow a wad of $$ on thing's I don't need, Thank you all!

i am currently using the tunze osmolator and while its usually pretty reliable, you must keep the sensor cleaned as it can become inoperable due to build up on it. its not the end of the world when that happens, it sure beats having a top off pump your tank full of kalk water.... oh wait, that happened to me once too! it wasnt the fault of the tunze though, my overflow became clogged causing the main tank to overflow and the top off systen was working like crazy to replace the displaced water. thankfully i came home before too much kalk water was pumped into the system. i've been considering using both the liter meter and my tunze..... the liter meter for my kalk reactor and the tunze for any top off that might be necessary above and beyond what the kalk reactor puts into the system.

i guess i am no help in choosing one or the other...... just get both...lol

I have used both and I can tell you, you won't be dissapointed in either of them. Neither of them ever failed me and they are worth the extra money.

I use both. The litermeter 3 for kalk and the osmo does the rest of the top off. They are both great products and would not hesitate to buy them again.
