Litermeter III

I took Fig's advice and went with the Litermeter III for my ATO. I put a 44 gallon Brute about 25 feet away from my RODI. The Brute is right below my tank, and I'm pumping up to the sump upstairs. It's really a slick system. I think I might still need some sort of float to turn off the pump if my evaporation rate is less than expected, but right now I've got it dialed in pretty close.

I took a hundred water jugs to the recycling bin yesterday!

i am wanting to do something similiar, what pump are you using for a return pump to your sump and how high is your head?

I went with this pump:

It's a really simple installation. If you know how much water you are topping off every day, you just enter that amount in liters, and it does it in 150 increments for you. You don't even know it's happening. It's probably one of the more expensive choices, but it works great, and there is nothing to get gunked up in the sump.

I'm lifting my water about 8 feet, but the Litermeter could lift it 60 feet I think.

Get the LM3-TCM, Liter Meter Top-off control module. Works great. Set it and forget it.

oh i'm more concerned with the pump to get the water to my display from the sump rather than the ATO pump. sorry haha
