I'm not using one now but have used them for over 20 years and was the pump I always used. A little more noise then the Blueline I am using now.

Do you mean the MDQ/MDQX series? If so - rock solid. I have seen those pumps take some amazing abuse and keep humming along. Likely not as energy efficient or quiet as new pumps on the market (DC pumps), but solid.

Ive been running mine for 12 or so years, lil louder than my ilwaki pumps but its a beast.

Maybe a tiny bit quieter.. I used little giants for years and have a 4MDSC on my mixing station that I've had for about 20 years. It's still going strong.
