little giant pump

my new tank has an md2 little giant pump and it seems kind noisy.it's there anything i can do to quite it some.

put oil in those holes where the foil is at - find out what oil to use first though

hey jason.i just found the oil for it on the web.im gonna try it.i also think it's not strong enough.

make sure it's pressure oil. also check the aligment of the impeller and housing. it also can make noise if its rubbing

Those pumps are known to be quite noisy!

Sit it on a rubber pad or maybe two layers of computer mousepad. Also, is the plumbing off the pump hard PVC or soft tubing/spaflex? Hard PVC plumbing will transmit noise and vibration much worse than spaflex.

I place mine on a thin layer of styrofome.
It is used for shipping...works great.
