hey guys i just got some live rock from the caribbean it had a little mantis shrimp in it it was about 1 inch long brown with orange legs. i always wanted one so how do i take care of this little guys right now i have it it my quaratine tank with live rock and hermit crabs.

all he needs is about 10 gallons live rock a heater, water changes, and some hermits. they are not hard to take care of if you keep up with the water changes.

Quarantine tank?

You haven't ever treated it with copper, have you? Inverts and copper do not mix.

Hermits, a few small snails, any crabs that you don't mind losing, he/she should be as happy as a pea in a pod.

You wont find a peacock mantis as an hitchhicker. And a 10gal is a little over kill if its that size. maybe a 5.5gal or 2.5gal. I have a 2'' N.wenn in a 2.5gal and a 2.5'' n.wenn in a 3gal and they are fine.
