Yeah there is a few of them and they move around a bit, was kalk pasting the rock earlier and he scurried into his hole and came back out after I put the rock back in the tank
Hmmm now that I sat and watched them more maybe you're right? There's a larger one on the other side of the rock and I saw it retract and them kind of come back out and extend a bunch. They just sit right on the rock. Hmmm.
It just looks really weird for a starfish... Carefully put some food on it. If it curls around the food, it's a polyp.
Not sure what kind of polyp, though... What color is it under white lights?
Could be a hydroid, anemone, polyp stage of jellyfish , aiptasia which is more likely.. or possibily even a coral but I doubt that. I don't see any legs or flatten bodies for brittle stars.. also brittle stars have 5 legs.. sometimes 6.
Colonel hydroids
Polyp stage of jellyfish
Aiptasia
Microbrittle
There is no flourecent starfish, it could be a button polyp or even something else.
