Little white fuzzies

I first spotted these on a trumpet coral I recently acquired. This being my first trumpet, I thought maybe new sprouts. I am beginning to think that is not the case. The fuzzies on the trumpet have not multiplied, just maybe gotten a little larger, but I did notice one that has now appeared on a Zoa, and on a piece of LR, within close proximity to the trumpet. They have a similar fan type top, like a feather duster, but these are about an 1/8th inch tall, and have a hollow center, when looking down from the top of one of them, and they are as white as can be. Any ideas what I am looking at, I'd take a pic, but they are so small, and my camera would have a hard time focusing on them.

Could be a pineapple sponge or possibly a tunicate. Are they opaque white, or are they translucent?

You might also try asking in the general section since this isn't a fish disease question.

Yea, I realized my error in posting after I had posted, figured I'd just let it ride, and see what I come up with. Thanks for the tip though, I'll post there also. BTW they are what I would consider opaque, but they are so small, if they are transluscent, you couldn't tell. Are either of your conclusions considered a pest, or just natural, and won't be a bother, they seem to pop up pretty quickly.

I had some white, almost cone shaped things pop up once. It turned out it wasn't much, but I scraped them off anyways. Never turned out to be a real pest or anything. I think its some sort of sponge.

Yea, kinda cone shaped. They turned from a white fuzzy blob, into an 1/8th inch tall cone/cylinder, covered in fuzz, and a little feather duster top. I'll continue this in the general forum, since I guess there is no coral disease treatment forums. Thanks guys.

It really sounds like a pineapple sponge to me. Without a photo I can't say for sure, but I understand how hard it can be to get photos of tank inhabitants.

Pineapple sponges are very common and harmless filter feeders. I am not aware of any harmful tunicates.
