Little White Star Fish ?

I know I've seen something about little 3/16" to 1/4", white star fish, but don't recall if their friend or foe's ?

We have a few on the glass so I need to know fast whether to remove them or not ?

I can not get the camera to focus, but here's the best I could do at the moment.
The one looks like a leg has been bitten off.

That's them !
Just wonder which exact species mine are ?

Thank you so much, for including the links and I'll read them in detail tomorrow !!!

Asterina I thought they where neat to have until they started over populating my tank. I just vacuum some out every water change. I haven't noticed them eating any corals so really just an eye sore

I did remove the two that I saw, and will keep an eye out for others.
One was missing a leg, and wonder if our Coral Banded Shrimp ate it.

Most are reef safe, some are not, very hard to tell the difference. I did get some "bad" ones with some zoos I ordered that ate zoos. The bad ones tended to be darker, I'm pluck them off at night when they were feeding. Again, I stress, most are fine. I wouldn't get too worried unless you start seeing damage.

They seldom have all their legs. I don't know if they lose them or never actually have them but you will rarely if ever see a asterina that looks completely intact.

I don't see any damage, but better safe than sorry until I get some experience in determining what species are what.

Maybe their cannibal's to themselves. lol
