Looks great! I have a 29g now and will be setting up a 75g in the next month. The 29 was my first sw tank..can't wait for a bigger one!

Wow! My son is 8 and I will show him your tank. He is begging me to start him a tank. Right now I have my hospital tank in his room. 10 gallon with live rock. You should be very proud of your tank. I know I will be excited when I get to that point. Just started reefing this year.

Thanks guys! I have so much fun with this hobby. It's amazing to be able to keep something from the ocean in your house! I'm sure your son would love all the colors and different movements of the corals. :)

Very nice tank. Can I ask what type of maintenance you are doing. Skimmer, lights , water changes that sort of thing. I do love the sanded coloration as well
.

Nemesis I do weekly water changes of about five gallons. For skimmer I just have a little nano Rio skimmer. Lights are the marineland reef ready leds. No sump or fuge. Actually a really simple setup. And thanks :) I love black sand. Makes the colors pop out more.

Thats good to hear about the sump. I have a 55 gallon tank and feel somewhat stalled. Do I build this system up or pull back and start over with "The Best". I know it is a really silly question to my wife. I will keep being patient and working on my skills. Right now I am currently in an Aiptasia, winner takes all, fight to the death. It is actually quite comical. My kids get a laugh out of me fretting over the "little anemones". My son saw your tank pics and that they were cool.

Nice looking tank. Is that a marineland LED strip? If so I am impressed with how much it illuminated the tank.

I was curious about that too--I recognize the light, but had heard that it was impossible to get serious results with it. How much of the growth in your tank happened under that light?

Wow great tank! I don't believe I've seen your tank on livingreefs? Good pics too?

BTW this is Bobby on lr

Thanks everyone! :) yes i do have the marineland led reef ready fixture. That's the only light that is on there since I set up the tank about ten months ago. My corals have done very well with it. I decided to take the risk with the fixture bc I knew people were saying its not possible but the conpany says it is and well just look at my tank! If you place corals in the proper spots with the amount of flow they need they will do great with the marineland leds. Even sps corals and Anemones. I have a green birdsnest that I got in november and I already see tons of growth and also I got the acro in November and it is encrusted onto the rock I stuck it on! The only thing I'm having a tough time with are the gorgonians bc they are non photo and need to he fed a lot and they need a good amount of flow to hinder algae growth. I do not use purple up or anything for the coraline. I just bought a few peices of live rock with coraline and it took off! I'm glad you all enjoy my tank! Oh and bobby I'm on livingreefs also! I have two build threads there. Idk if I'm allowed to post the link tho. Just look for beeguiles, that's my name there. Real name is Brittany.

LOL I know who you are on there, just havn't seen you tank before. I'll have to check it out, cause your tank looks great.

Thanks guys! I'm not even done with it yet! I want to put many more corals in it. Maybe more sps and bright zoas. I'm gonna take the hammer out and put it in my ten gallon, same ity the plate. My clowns decided to make the plate theirs and the plate is not happy about that at all.
