Hello everyone ,I am almost registered on the forum, but I read it a long time ago :) I have a tank of 200l and I have no problem with LPS Coral, my problem is the SPS corals and primarily nitrates ... i got only tree fish, two clowns and one blue tang. The parameters of water are okay , just nitrates are constantly rising, i give the food once every three days. Skimmer is Buble Magus nac7 have no filter in sump.Nitrati grow to 15 units per month, measured Salifert test...
My question is, whether live rock can discharge nitrates and what to do ... and that I should buy a better skimmer, I'm changing month by 40% of water and so I keep nitrate at 15 to 20 :( im using ro/di water and reef cristal salt ...thx

How often do you empty your skimmer cup?

How often do you use a turkey baster to clean off the rock?

Lots of ways to reduce nitrates, more frequent water changes being one, carbon dosing (vodka, vinegar, biopellets) being another.
