If I want to add More Live Rock to my tank after it has already cycled, how much could I add before I cause another cycle.
thanks

If the water parameters match and you are4 transfering it directly to the tank (not out of the water for too long) you can add aas much as you want.

It is very important to watch your water quality. If you add alot, do some water changes maybe once a week for a month to make sure you get all the bad stuff out of the water.

Something to keep in mind that the amount it will spike your tank is proportional to the amount of die-off that is on the rock. In other words, you could see little to no impact by adding 40lbs of cured liverock that hasn't been out of the water long for shipping than you could of 10lbs of uncured rock that has experienced a few days of shipping related stresses - temperature shifts, dryness, lack of light, etc.

I will have about a 45 min ride from the LFS back to the tank, if the perameters are the same at the store to my tank should I expect a spike for 15lbs of Live Rock?

If the rock is well cured at the store, then you should be in good shape. If they just received it from overseas then it could have just started cycling and you might see a spike. I wouldn't be worried about your 45 minute ride, it's the longer ride that the rock might have taken in getting to the store where the die off is most likely to have occurred.

Make sure there is wet newspaper covering the rock during transport and you should be ok. Just make sure it stays moist.
