Live Rock Delivery

I ordered a 90 lbs box of live rock the past day or two ago and when I opened the box the rocks were just barely moist is this how all live rock is delivered? I can't imagine anything surviving in these conditions. I have order a total of 180 lbs and have not seen any live rock hitch hikers. Is that normal or do I have a bad vendor. Any thoughts would help!

As long as the rock is moist it should be oK. Wet is better. Generally LR should be wrapped in wet paper for shipping / transportation to keep it moist enough to sustain life. This way even if the rock is not "wet" there is enough moisture in the box to keep the bacteria and some critters alive.

And you will be shocked and amazed by the ammount of life that shows up from even seemingly dead rock.

Patience is such a great virute to have with this hobby.
