Live Rock needed

fatrip

Yup That Stuff
I'm looking for some larger pieces of nice porous Live or dead Rock maybe 2-3 pieces totaling 25-30 LBS.

I am going to be breaking down my tank. I have some larger pieces that may be about 10-15lbs per piece. I can't really get a pic as they are used as the base of my rock structure. Tank has had some hair algae and turf algae issues over the past year, so the rock will most likely have some attached. Let me know and we might be able to get something worked out for pickup or delivery.

yea there's been some unfortuinate problems with my wife and I, so the tank is going to be taken down. We are still on very good terms, but just going to go our separate ways. I don't feel like doing the whole take the tank apart, move it, move all the buckets of coral/rock, set the tank up, and put all the coral/rock back in for 2 days, so it'll be easier for me to just unload and start a new system later on. I'll probably be stashing most of my stuff in Bently23's tank once that is built, but some stuff here and there will be for sale or equipment trades.

I'm very sorry to here that Jim. What kinda rock is it? when are you planning on taking down the tank? not a problem for me to come get the rock, Elmira isn't far. How much do you want for them?

It's a bunch of different types of rock. Some is Fiji, but most is samoa (I think that's the name) rock from That Fish Place. Some Marshall and Tonga along with a few pieces of Kupang. I just added the rock over time when I had the money and could bring myself to spend $100 on rock. Plus I went from a 10g which was set up for about a year, up to a 20g that some of the rock was in for about 3 years or so, then I upgraded to my 54cbf where I added about 70lbs mostly from That Fish Place. My friend and I should start building his tank in the next week or two, but you can stop here and pick out whatever pieces you want. It might be kinda tough to look at all the pieces, but I'll start moving things around and get some frags into my friends current tank so I can get the pieces somewhat washed off. We can work out a time where you could come check things out. How soon do you need them?

as soon as possible would be best. I'm currently not working so really any time is good for me except Thursdays.

Hey sorry it took so long to get back to you. How's friday? I know it's not a wild and crazy friday night, but that'd work best for me and give me a little time to get some stuff out of the tank. Does $2.50/lb sound fair? Let me know and I'll PM you with some contact info. Thanks!

Jim really sorry to hear about you and your wife.... I would be interested in some of your livestock. When can i come take a look? Do you still have the Angler? I would def be interested in another piece of that chalice I got from you. My todds torch Nuked it lol.

Vince if you make it out this way Lmk so I can grab that skimmer and light from you!

Friday would be good. I'm getting most of the corals out that I want to keep tonight so the rock SHOULD be easy to get to. Hope you guys can make it and help me empty this thing out. And yea I could snip another chunk of that chalice but it won't be mounted to anything

Jim I ended up getting some rock from Dave so i wont be needing any. Thank you for your offer tho and great price on that rock im sure it wont be hard to find people to snag it up. Thanks again.

Well rock is all gone thanks to pimp and his friend! Thanks alot guys for helpin me get rid of all that. Kind of a bittersweet moment though. I'm lookin at a half empty cloudy tank now..........

Hope nothing got crushed! Those Pink Digi's are prob my fav that I had. They were really pink when I got em from St. James but then turned kinda orange. The larger one is really getting the pink color back though! I hope the chalice makes it this time. And when I set up again, I am going to NEED a piece of that Todd's Torch. I have a Orange Torch frag and that chunk of the Hammer, and I think it'd look sweet with some other gems mixed in. I'll be getting a hold of you guys when i'm ready to add some coral. Thanks again Matt.
