Hey guys for my new tank I would like to get some more live rock from my lfs and they have it in there display tank with fish they sell I was wondering if one of those fish had ich and I bought the rock and put it in the tank to let it cycle ( it's fully cured) for 2-4 weeks will the fish I put in after the cycle get ice

It is definitely possible. Of course I can't find it now, but I think suggestion is to leave the tank fallow for at least 4 weeks (but have read anywhere from at least 4 weeks to at least 8 weeks) to make sure the organism completely dies out.

They probably wont get ice, but they will get ich.

Most people say let a tank be fallow for at least 6 weeks, thats the absolute minimum to hope that ich is no longer present in a tank that doesnt have hosts for it to complete its life cycle.

I would wait at least 8 weeks, if not more. I definitely wouldnt let it sit for just 2 weeks, or just 4 weeks.
