Where do you all suggest I get live rock and sand? I need enough for a 90 gal. I know Tony can get me some :bounce2:

Gateway Aquatics has some great looking LR, seen it the other day. Cant remember the price off hand, but didnt think it was high. Give him a call since you live in St. Peters.

$4 a pound I think....maybe $4.50

what kind of rock is it?

hatian rock is the ugliest rock i have seen

trottman there are more stores than gateway aquatics

the more i hear about it the less i want to go back and give them business (like you are forcing them upon us)

his best bet is to call around and than go look at the rock and picture in his mind how he wants his rock work to be in the tank

Well that was nice to say without any reason.

What's wrong with Haitian if you use it as baserock? At least it's a cheap live version to use it at the bottom. Maybe not use it as the centerpieces.

live baserock would be a waste of cash just buy normal base rock

and than seed it with nice live rock

have you seen a tank with haitian and figi rock

let me tell you the figi looks better

I hate Haitian it is okay to mix but a whole tank of it looks dark.
The reason why fish stores get it is it is really cheap to get.

way to support cahd and get him buisness

was just informed chad sells fiji and kailini rock (now that is nice rock compaired to the hatain)

The rock people are seeing at Gateway Aquatics is Fiji and Kaleini (spell check needed), not Haitian. I know it is very nice looking rock because I was there the day it arrived and help them unload it from the boxes.

I personally do not like the look of Haitian, too dense and lacks any unique shapes.

But the Fiji and Kaleini rock I took out of the boxes was great looking. A few very large pieces.

If Fade32 would finally sell me the 215 gallon tank he promised me, I would actually buy some of the large pieces I saw.

It is ready you dead bet. LOL I need the money to pay for those tunzes. It is a shame that 2 power heads cost's the same as a tank.

Kaelini is nice and chad has about the best price you'll find. But, Clayton Pet Emporium actually has some of the nicest rock I've seen at any store in the last few months. Kaelini, but it is awesome but pricey. Too rich for my blood.

Honestly, my favorite rock to buy is from fellow reefers. It's always the most alive and is the cheapest.

If you have patients and watch the threads like a hawk, someone will have live rock and sand you can't get a real deal on.

Actually, last night I just bought an 72 gallon bowfront AGA with Oceanic Stand and Canopy! I'm excited!

Which also means I will have a second tank going up to TWP this weekend. However, if anyone is interested before that, just let me know.

I just have a standard 55 with stand, tank, lights which I have pics in my gallery. 3x32 watt=96 watt. It has a few scratches in the back which can't be seen when filled or when the back is covered.

My other tank which I don't have pics up yet is just a standard 55 (tempered) with glass tops, 2-65 watt 50/50 bulbs= 130watts which has only been turned on about 4 times. They are Jebo but I don't care what anyone says, I think they are a great buy, plus down the road you'll have to eventually buy new bulbs and you can buy whatever you want. Comes with black cabinet with cabinet on the left and the right with a shelf in each cabinet and open backs. the middle does not have an open back and has a shelf. It also has a 600gph Amiracle overflow box with
