Live rock seeding question

Just a quick question on live rock seeding. I'm starting a new tank with 50 lbs of dry rock. I'm buying a few pounds of live rock to seed it. There are a few options for me to buy and they are in different colors. One stores is brownish, on is more natural looking with some green, and one is mostly purple. Will the color of the stuff on the rocks go to the rest of the dry rocks? If so the purple rock looks really awesome, but is almost double the price, but it would be worth it if the rest of my rocks took on that coloration.

the purple I'd think even tho it may not keep thru the cycle.
Coming from someone who went that route week 3 atm, sure I nitrogen cycled in 5 days but you still have to wait for that dirty no good diatom bloom currently day 6 xD with that being said I'd save my cash and just get bottled bacteria cope/amps rather than shelling out cash

Yes, the link above they ship it dry in a box. They recommend mixing it with actual Live rock from LFS. I'm sure there must be a few threads about it here on RC. I'm using about 50 lbs or so for my new setup 175-gallons mixed with double the amount of live rock. I believe the color infusion promotes quicker beneficial life growth on rock.

If you like coraline algae then getting it from purchasing snails or hermits with it on there shells is a good way to get it in your tank for a fraction of the cost. Just fyi, you don't need a lot of lve rock to seed your dryrock. In time all the dryrock will become liverock. This is a hobby of patience.

I would think that the live rock you're thinking about is articially colored but it may have some coralline on it and your dry rock will look more like the seeded live rock in the end.
