live rock size

I just got my mantis yesterday and I know hes been at the store for at least a month without molting, today he was moving some of the rubble around toward the enterance of the cave i made him but theres only 2 pieces he can move effectively. my question is should i break up some LR into smaller pieces so he can re-arange to his hearts content?

His burrow is fairly large and hidden, theres a section that you cant see no matter how hard you tried. *shrug* new to this

funny side note, him and the cat were trying to get each other earlier. mantis got territorial pretty quick

i like to have alot of small rubble rocks for them to move around and make there cave with. i would add about a pund of rubble rock at least.
