Live rock turning white?

Can anyone tell me if live rock turning white is normal?
My tank has finished its cycle 2 weeks ago.

I used tap water to fill until I found out about RO/DI water now I just use that.

Temp 79
Salinity 1.025
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Phosphates 0.1
Calcium 420

Here are some pics

What's the alkalinity? Most likely, the coralline is reacting to a change in lighting. That's very common.

Those levels are all reasonable, except phosphate is rather high. That might be an issue. I don't remember the sensitivity of coralline to PO4 levels, but 0.1 is enough to cause problems for corals. I'd watch that, but the bleaching is probably just the standard new tank sequence for live rock.

Coralline will wax and wane depending on certain conditions in the tank. Looks pretty normal to me considering you are cycling right now. I would look into the phosphate issue. Probably from the tap water you used to fill the tank. Once the cycle is done I'd do some healthy water changes to offset what the tap introduced. ;)

Thanks. I will do a good water change when I am done cycling and try to get the phosphates down.

What happened was I added 45 pounds of live rock and cycled the tank after the ammonia and nitrites when to 0 the rocks turned white. I added another 6 pounds of rock the other day, which had good color on it the next day it turned white to.
