I'm building a 75 gallon reef tank and was looking around where to buy my LR from, my lfs has stuff that sits in boxes for months before they put out for sale and they wont order me in a special order!! so i asked on here and you guys came highly recommended for purchasing live rock, I want the manado rock, do you guys have this LR in stock?? Also I was wondering if you post when you LR arrives?? I want the freshest stuff you receive! How much would you recommend fr a 75 gallon? Thanks!!

I always bought rock from LFS because I wanted to be able to pick out the pieces that I want. However over the last couple of years it seems like the stores have nothing great looking or they have that fake "Real Reef" rock. I had no interest in either.

I bought rock from the Manado cured rock from Premium Aquatics for two separate tanks and the quality ands appearance are great. I also told them a head of time the size of the tank and what size pieces I was looking for.

The last set up that I did was November 2012 on a 30x30x24 tank and I literally had no cycle.

We do indeed have Manado in stock right now that has been here for about 3.5 - 4 weeks, so it's fully cured and ready to go. One thing about our rock is that we do not let any of it sit in the box dry like your LFS does. We treat out rock just like we treat our coral that we bring in, tanking it immediately into our systems and starting the curing process. We use 400w metal halides over our rock pools to maintain photosynthetic life, as well using large commercial size protein skimmers and a calcium reactor to maintain water quality. The difference in getting our uncured (fresh-in) rock versus our cured that's been here will be that you'll need to cure out the rock yourself and deal with a little excess organics in your tank by going uncured.
