Live Rock

I have been searching the livestock selling forums and other local forums to find some live rock that I can buy for a good price. Most of what I have found though is either not shipping or only selling in bulk. I was wondering if there was anyone who has extra rock lieing around that I can buy off of them? I know with my other tank I had bought too much rock to begin with and sold some once I got the rockwork set. Anything will help. Also I am looking for live sand if anyone has extra. Thanks for any help that I can get.

Can you hold off for a little while or do you need it asap? East Coast aquatics I think is having a sale on FIJI Live Rock @ $2.99 per pound, but it is in mid Oct. I am hoping I can set aside some money by that point to purchase some myself if I can get there before they sell out.

Yeah I had heard about that, but right now I am trying to get some more rock together to make the cycling process happen all at once instead of getting some rock now and then a lot more in a month.

Also do you know if they are selling cured live rock or uncured for 2.99?

Very good question, I am not sure. I have never bought "cured" rock and I most certanly would qt rock regardless, probably in a bucket, to make sure it was ready. Do you have anything in the tank that you are trying to cycle yet? You could try shrimp.
