Live rock

I am new at this. you will probably laugh at my question but what else should i expect to grow on the live rock except algae?

Well coraline algae (The nice purple algae) will grow on the rock naturally. Other than that you could have a nice mat of zoanthids or star polyps grow on it like a carpet but you would need to get a frag of it to get it started.
