Live Rock

I am upgrading to a larger tank (110g - 120g range) for FOWLR and maybe a few corals. I am looking for a good size piece of LR to be a major focal point of the tank. I will be moving most of the rock form my 30g so I am really looking for one larger piece.

Which do you recommend?

What size is a "big" single piece of Kaelini (or whatever you suggest) in terms of pounds and dimensions?

Is it too cold to ship ground to 14845 in an insulated box?
Do you have insulated boxes that would fit a good size single piece?

BTW, I would also be getting some rubble and or nano.

Hi Dave,

For nice big pieces, i would recommend Kaelini. We usually can find pieces anywhere from couple pounds to 50 pounds iwth Kaelini. Probably a basketball size rock is going to weight around 20 pounds.

The weather is fine right for shipping. Really anything down to freezing works well for rock, after 32 below, i would recommend shipping it overnight.

We have insulated boxes up to 18x18x18, so we can fit just about anything into one of those.
