Thanks for all your help. One more question please. The sand in the new 28 gal. is almost 5 inches deep. Do you think that is too much? It would be hard but I could take some out. What do you think?

5" will give you an official deep sand bed. Just be sure not to stir it up or vacuum it ever. The only issue I personally would have with it, is in a tank that size, seems like 5" would take up a bit of your tanks real estate and water volume.

The fitrstion is built in to the tand so its standard I guess. I have about 20 or 25 pd. rock. I'm going to take some sand out. Thanks
