live sand help

i was wondering if anyone will sell me 10lbs. of live sand that has been established allready... all the LFS say buy the bag... well i dont want the bag cause it will cycle and i only need 10 lbs... so i was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to help me out - thanks in advance-bill

Rob's in Orange Park sells live sand.

You really don't need 10 lbs, just a cup. Live rock will seed your tank, do you have any? That IMO is the best way to seed your tank. I am going to be out of town for a few days but I can give you some when I get back.

The live bag sand has very little value.

i need it to cover my mineral mud in my refuguim.. otherwise that stuff stirs up to easily.

I have never used mineral mud but I think from my understanding that you would be better off putting some chaeto in your refug to help preventing the mud from being distrubed along with a little live rock.

Anyway if you want some pm me the middle of the week.

yea i am putting chaeto and about 8lbs of liverock in there as well.
