I want to get rid of some of my sand. I plan on getting rid about 25 pounds right now maybe more depending how things look in my tank. I dont want to remove it from the tank until the last possible minute to avoid killing anything in the sand. I dont have any pests in my tank (atleast none that I have seen in the past couple of months) but you may get a couple of snail hitchhickers.
