LiveAquaria quarantine procedures

Hi,

I was wondering if LiveAquaria quarantines fish before selling them? I don't mean Diver's Den fish, just the regular fish sold on the site. And if you don't QT, how do you make sure the fish are healthy to be sold, free of parasites and so on?

Thanks!

StayPuft,

Thank you for contacting us. Yes, we quarantine at all of our shipping facilities. There is not a set time; it all depends on each specific species. Some fragile species will be quarantined for a while to ensure they are healthy and will ship well. We determine how long to quarantine a fish dependant on the species and the general health. The fish must be eating, swimming, and in good health before we will let it out of quarantine to be shipped to our customers. We take pride in our live stock and want our customers to feel confident ordering from us.

If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for the reply. I am glad that you quarantine all your fish. So many stores don't do that, I find very few that do it. Great job!

comsense,

All of our holding facilities quarantine specimens that are shipped to our customers. Each facility has trained individuals monitoring each specimen for optimum health.

If you have further questions please contact us.
