Live rock: WOW!!!

I received 120 lbs of Marshall. Kaelini, and Fiji liverock Friday night, and I was almost speechless. These rocks are gorgeous! There is excellent coralline, many sprigs of macroalgae, many featherdusters, and many things that I have no idea what they are! And, I’ve seen one small snail that hitched a ride. Sizes are exactly as I specified, ½ large & ½ medium. The largest were an absolute show piece of Kaelini, I’m guessing 20 â€"œ 25 lbs, and a beautiful, open, purple, coralline encrusted coral head (almost the size of a basket ball) that came with the Marshall! And, the shapes are magnificent. Rubble, what rubble? Out of all 3 boxes combined, all the rubble together only half filled a one quart plastic pitcher (which was promptly dumped in the sump!)

I must say that I was scared to spend this much money on something sight unseen, but my research on Reefcentral really paid off. You guys are awesome! I will highly recommend you, and you can expect to see many other orders from me in the future!

And shipping…..Get this: You dropped this off at your airport about noon Friday, and I picked it up from my airport in Amarillo, TX at 9:30 pm Friday Night!!! That’s 1/3 day shipping!! Amazing!

Thanks a million, you guys are GREAT!!

Larry

Hi Larry,

We're glad you were very pleased with the rock! It sounds like the shipment got on a very quick flight as well, that's an awesome "in transit" time! :)

Thanks again!
Jeremy

Larry, Can you tell me approximately how much this order cost? I am looking to fill my 180g this weekend with LR and am looking for the best deals.

Also, Jeremy B from Premium Aquatics, can you tell me if you ship to the LVI (ABE) airport in Pennsylvania?

Hi Kelly.... Unfortunately Southwest Airlines does not service that location. The only other option we would have for shipping would be via UPS. You can actually get UPS in two days via Ground shipping, which would be fairly inexpensive, and the rock should be just fine with that method.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Sorry for not being clear. The PA I ordered from is Jeremy at Premium Aquatics.

If you go to their website and select the rock you want go all the way through the order process and it will give you the shipping options and all the prices before you finally submit the order. You can just quit instead of submitting the order. I you want to try different combinations of things and get a final price I sugguest setting up a profile with them som you don't have to type in your name and adress and stuff everytime you want to get a shiiping estimate.

Where are you in PA? I am in central NY just over the state line in Elmira. I lived in State College for 6 years and my wife is from West Chester.

Hi Kelly,

A lot depends on where you are located. Being in PA, doing standard UPS ground you would figure about $.35/lb to ship the rock. Southwest Airlines would be around $.50/lb, however it's a much quicker transit time. Unfortunately Southwest does not service your area though.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Well thanks for all the help! I've got many decisions to make about this live rock! It's a shame that I dumped so much money into the tank setup, and never figured that live rock would be such an expensive (but necessary) addition to the tank!

Dave--I currently live near Allentown. Went to State College for 4 years during my college days, and used to work at a company in West Chester!
