Livestock from Ebay

I was just playing around on Ebay and started plugging in various snails and such to see if they'd pop up. To my surprise, most of what I put in showed up.

Would it be advisable to purchase livestock from Ebay? I mean, there's no live arrival guarantee, but everything is so much cheaper and you especially save on shipping.

I just today got my order from Ebay. I ordered some hermits and snails. Here is the person I ordered from. I have nothing bad to say. Everything arrived alive and well packaged.

I bought 2 harlequin serpent stars off ebay from a guy. He sent me a third one free just to make sure i'd get two live ones. All 3 survived and are doing great. It's really cool feeding them.

As for corals, WYSISYG is pretty important to me now. Look out for a lot of people advertising with one picture. There was an instance I was happy with what I got, but not quite as happy as I thought I'd be. So far no DOAs. But personally, I think finding somebody locally and trading with or buying from them is a lot cheaper than wasting money on shipping, although I've wasted a lot on shipping.

There is one interesting guy called old diver. I havent bout anything from him, but I always look at his stuff. From what i read people are happy with his stuff. His things are from the ocean thought not tank raised.

I bought from Old Diver. I have no complaints. Communication was great and items were shipped well. I was a little concerned when I noticed that he was using the same picture for multiple auctions however I recieved exta items (multiples of the same item) with the shipment. Everything was alive upon arrival and is thriving in my tank. He also has relatively cheap shipping.

I have bought and sold livestock on ebay before and do not have any complaints, nor have I ever had any against me.
