I just bought a red pinkish Lobo from the LFS. I wonder if it needs strong lighting. Currently, i put it under the shade. Please advice.

It depends on your lighting... here's my experience.

I have a Lobo. hemprichii with nine heads that I had placed on the sand about 20" under an 8 bulb T-5 set up. One of the heads was shaded from above by another coral and that head began to recede. It wanted more light. The rest of the heads stayed full and healthy. After I moved the coral away from the shade, the head began to recover.
Now I have the coral up on the rock under a new ReefBox90 LED fixture thinking this may be too much light, but the coral is doing great and the colors have brightened up as well.
Hope this helps.

How is your coral with feeding? Mine will accept food, but it takes forever. I have to battle with the CUC until the food is consumed, which takes a good 10 to 15 minutes each time.

I have 250 W metal halide. I put it under the shade just to make sure it is not stressed out by the new lighting as they are using LED at LFS. I will for sure move it to the direct lighting once it is used to my tank.

I target feed my coral once a week. I also add liquid coral food onto the tank once a week.
