Lobster and a Trigger

Hi Guys,

I want to get a Reef Lobster for my tank. Would a Humu Picasso Triggerfish and a Tobby Puffer get a long with a Reef Lobster? Does anyone have a Lobster in there Trigger tank?

Thanks,

Eric

I have a Purple Spotted Lobster in with my Undulated Trigger, it actually is the only thing my trigger has killed.
When I put the Lobster in the first day, the trigger immediately grabbed the front right claw, but the lobster pinched the crap out of the Trigger and she never came back.
I have a lot of live rock in my tank, dont know if that has to do with the success of the two, or if the Undy is just waiting for a bigger meal.

those things are fish killers when they get larger, I wouldnt want one in my tank anyway. I used to have one, then I bought a snwflake moray. it was over in about 15 min. with enough rock I would say it would have a good chance of surviving with a trigger. if it ever gets out in the open then it's time may be up

After watching my trigger destory everything I would feel the same way. The lobster only made it in my tank because a friends tank crashed when he went on spring break and the power was shut off at his apartment. The lobster comes out at night to eat, when I guess the trigger is sleeping. Not saying this combo could work for anyone else... just telling it how it is here.

HA! I had a beautiful purple lobster, thought I'd put it in my main tank where a 6" undulate was. Gone in 10 seconds. It was a 4" lobster, but it fit ever so nicely in the trigger's mouth. Just don't cuss too much if/when it gets tagged.

Have you ever watched videos of lobster migrations on Animal Planet? Every one that I've seen has at least a little portion of some of them getting obliterated by triggers.

I guess I will skip the Lobster, Nice pic

I have a big hermit right now. Is there anything more I could get to help keep the tank clean?

Thanks,

Eric

this was from one of my favorite battles. It's actually a crayfish that tried to put up a good fight. The trigger took out his legs first and then it was all but over!

I thought it was great, but my wife says I'm disturbed.:hmm5:

Anyway, I think your lobster would suffer the same fate!
