Lobsters

These guys have been on my mind recently and I am also curious as to why I haven't seen other post about them. I would like to know the reason why this is mainly. And...
Do they hide a lot?
What is the minimum tank size for Lobsters?
Do they take fish?
Thanks for your replies!

Shiny lobsters grow huge and have antennas that are over 2 times as long as their already gigantic size. Take up alot of room. They can also make a noise similar to a cicada I read but never witnessed or heard... would love to tho!

Slipper lobsters grow big and tumble rocks.

Reef lobsters can kill fish and grow decent sized (but no where near the others)

All of them hide.. lucky if you see them at night.

Basicly all these are better as in refugium or species setups. In very large tanks a spiny lobster won't hurt much but they need the room to spread out their antennas.

That's what I thought I have been seeing them for sale online a lot and was curious about them. Thanks for the information! And speaking of refugiums my LFS said i should keep a crab or something in one to keep it from over growing. Is this a good idea? If so do you have any recommendations other than a emerald crab? The refugium will be 30 gallons.

He basicly is saying to have a CUC down there as it will get pretty dirty in the refugium if nothing is cleaning it up.. any crab you like can go down there. Doesn't even have to be a crab either you can house shrimp or something. An arrow crab, large hermit crab, and shameface crab would outgrow 30 gallons tho.

You can keep a reef lobster down there actually.
