loc line sizing

Hi,

Miracles in glass just made me a new tank & drilled a 1 1/2" hole in my overflow box (same as my return bulkhead hole). so my question is what size loc line do I use (the hole looks really big)?

I think the biggest loc line is 3/4. You can get a threaded mpt x threaded fpt reducer. I got one to go from 1 1/2" to 3/4" at my local h depot.

I assume your saying that the drilled hole is 1 1/2" ?

If so, then you would put a 3/4" bulkhead in.

not necessarily.

However, the outside diameter of 1 1/2" pvc is 1.9"
The largest pipe that will fit through a 1 1/2" hole is 1" with an OD of 1.315" so you'll have a significant gap around it;
