I was just wondering what was some opinion on how a local aquarium would do here.I don't know who has been up to gattlingberg to the Ripleys believe it or not aquarium. But onelike tha here.

I think it would be cool personally but Im not sure how many people would actually go. Its tough to tell in Memphis sometimes how a business like that will do. It would be nice to see though and maybe get people involved in the hobby that werent interested before or didnt know much about it.

thats the problem noone is going to come here till the get the murder rate down and clean up the city , thats whay everything buisness wise ends up in mississippi ,

So stop offing folks and pick up a broom.

That was actually one of the plans that was thrown out as far as the Pyramid was concerned to turn it into a large Aquarium and there was a group that pitched, it but it did not go anywhere.

But if Bass Pro goes in (at the pyramid) they will supposedly have a monster aquarium going in there, AND IF DAVE GETS THE CONTRACT TO CLEAN THEM I UNDERSTAND HE WILL CLEAN THEM TOPLESS!!

I think for an aquarium to be successful it has to be in a tourist centered town. No one wants to come visit Memphis. (unless they are Elvis fans)

I visited the one in Gattlingberg a couple of years ago and to be honest I was a bit disapointed. They dont use any lighting and therefore their tanks dont have any live coarls. They are fish only. I think they had a couple of small tanks (like 100 gal) with corals but that was it.
