Local fish stores

Hi,
im not new in the springs but the only two stores i know of are neptunes realm and seascape aquatics. i was wondering what other good marine stores are in the springs and what you think of them.

Seascape Academy
These are my two favs and I buy stuff from ET all the time. Scott has a ton of sps frags, and coral. Jim at seascape has a large selection of fish in stock usually.

First, WELCOME to the Springs! Be sure to post an intro and pic in the stickey threads at the top of the forum. That way we can introduce ourselfs if we see you in any of the stores!

Like Larry posted, we have 5 stores each having their own speciality. Take a few hours and visit them all, the owners are great and definately worth getting to know!

Personally I hit seascape most the time (circle and academy, next to voelker). They tend to be fairly nice and will help out.

Not a huge fan of neptunes but I occasionally will go in and see what they have, Theres Mr. Aqua or whatever it's called off Filmore and Nevada but it's basically just a warehouse with tanks in it. Been in there once and wasnt very impressed.

Your kidding right? Mr Aqua's probably has the nicest corals and selection in town. He does have his stuff priced high, but there is lots of stuff and some very nice colonies. I do shop there but most of the time I shop at Scotts, he treats you right and he is a sponsor of SCMAS.

He he, like I said I'd only been there once, I think it was the couch that threw me off. I was still doing brackish and blackwater (no reef) at the time as well so he really didnt have much that I was interested in. Everytime I drive by now I ponder wandering in again but shrug it off, now I think I'll wander in and take a look!

Exotic Tropicals has some real nice corals in his display tank. If you stop in at MA, ET is just down the street to the west a few blocks. Well worth the visit. Like Todd said, he sponsors SCMAS.

scott is extremely knowledgeable, and can get you pretty much anything you want. plus he will go the extra mile to help you out....

Sometimes I feel bad for the other Local stores because of the praise we all give Scott at Exotic Tropicals.
But you know he has earned it!
I feel like he's one of us.
Some of the other owners of other stores here and in Denver I can't relate to.
They are either much older (or at least act that way) than me or just seem to be in it for the money.
I love excavating, and if I didn't love doing it I wouldn't be near as successful at it.

I think Scott honestly love's what he does and it shows in his enthusiasm for the club and for each and every customer.

Pay him a visit, you won't be sorry.

even though scott is not to close to me....i still go get water from him for randalls tank!!! even though im not in the hobby right now.....i always have to check in!!
