Local rock?

Actually... I have looked abit. I was looking more for personal experiences (with all respect to the local owners, of course).

Well, we're lucky to have quite a few located all around Metro St. Louis...As I see, you're in St. Peters, so you might want to try Marine Solutions since they are the closest to you.

Thanks much, RF.

I feel bad for Marine Soultions. One of the gents working there last weekend (Brad?) said they had a time without power last week. Hope they made it through OK. Saw some nice livestock there.

Been to Beldt's, but I understand they also have had power problems recently, and I don't recall seeing rock there.

Yeah, I know it hit Beldt's pretty hard...I got most of mine from Gateway...I like how dense the Kaelini is plus how nice it colors up!

There were some awesome pcs at Clayton last week...most bigger than a 24 gallon NanoCube. Lots of big pcs.

That's more like what I was looking for ! I have about a week before I am ready for the rock, but I didn't want to drive to every store in a fifty mile radius to see their rock variety. I would prefer to avoid the online costs and support the local shops if I can find something I like.

Gateway looks good (website). Does Pet Emporium carry LR?

Yes Clayton pet does carry rock...I saw some huge table pcs easily 16" and larger. Is this going in the cube?

Yep... actually an AP24. Looking for smaller sized pieces but most stores who carry large also have smaller around. Any idea on the variety(ies) they sell?

Most will have Fiji, Kaelini, Tonga Branch, and some might have some Marshall Island...I personally love the kaelini :D
