Yep, good list guys. Local prices do seem to be a bit expensive... but such goes with having to rent a retail-accessible location and other things compared to online places that could do business from, well... Boise, Idaho.

Hound, if you are condoning people to ignore the thread and *not* create drama you're certaintly not helping by remarking on post count, & questioning if the problem is hers. There's no need to clarify that you meant it in regards to duration of time on the boards. Many people "lurk" and read without posting for a very long time. ya know? :rollface:

I shop both online and at all the stores. I have a good idea what stuff costs online when I go to the store and decide if its worth paying the extra money to actually see what I'm getting and the size of the corals and fish. It really is nice to see what you are getting before you buy, especially with fish. You can see if they are healthy and eating well. Its also worth the extra money to avoid the stress of shipping as well as the cost. I've even gotten lucky a few times and have gotten things at a lower cost than online. I've never experienced any bad attitudes with any of the LFS. They have all been helpful and knowledgable. I think if I had a problem with any of the store employees or owners, I would say something and if not resolved, shop elsewhere.

One more post to clarify some things and then I've had my say on all of this and am back to lurking for a while.

Like you said the number of posts does not matter and I agree with you. I have just recently come back to this forum after being at RDO for a while as that's where I started as I was looking for a different online atmosphere. I have found it here. Yes, people disagree no matter what forum you are on but at least here it seems we can usually agree to disagree. There are many topics that get beat into the ground however they all come back up because there always new people joining the hobby. I'm sure if we didn't allow any new ones then the conversations would be less likely to revert to old topics but this medium is not set up like that.

With the comment on maybe I'm the problem with stores... you are assuming that you know the situations. One was a store refusing to follow their return policy when we showed 2 managers their own policy in black and white. The attorney general called them and the store immediately changed their tune. Another was a local video chain making an unauthorized charge to our bank account for a service we never signed up for and our bank refused to reverse some charges it caused even after we showed them the letter the video store gave us stating it was their error. The attorney general called the bank and immediately we received our credit. It is not a matter of us trying to pull a fast one on stores it is a matter of them standing behind their word. Period.

Also, although I may not have agreed with bosborn1's particular name for Tom I did not even remark on it. That is what I chose to do to deter any particular drama on that note. I actually think the real drama was brought into this thread after bosborn1 and I gave our individual opinions and it was not appreciated or agreed with. I can understand why some people have left the group and have actually discussed at length with a few of them what their reasons were. No one is 100% to blame in any scenario as it always takes 2 to make an arguement.

I am not trying to attack or argue with you and hope you read this as it is intended: to clarify your interpretation of my opinion.

I'm sitting in an office... but I kind of cheated today. We're only supposed to wear jeans on Fridays. Ooooh yeah, I'm a rebel. I don't think I'll get in trouble.
Please, I work in a warehouse with package handlers that get to wear wife-beaters (not that I'm jealous, they are Not Hot), the jeans on Friday thing is sooo lame. lol
I really want to get to starting that street wars thing though.

My husband is also ADHD (although never diagnosed since they didn't do that back then). It can be hereditary. He's learned how to compensate in other ways. She's still learning.

You know Mel maybe I was out of line by calling Tom a a$$ but then agin thats my opinion, and after I have spent thousands of dollars with him I think I have a right to my opinion. As far as the adult ADD thing....I've got it..For real...actually diagnoised. I refuse to take the meds as I think that they will ruin my personality. I agree that often times when there isn't a pillar of customer service in the community..Such as WDW in Orlando that all of the other places can adopt whatever they choose. This makes sense because who would know better. I personally don't really care because I shop where I want to shop. I normally don't give my opinion but when somebady puts down the store I like without explanation I get offended. I won't coment any further I have more important things to do like fragging and Prodibio research. Thanks to all that can see what I am talking about I don't want my wqords to fall on deaf ears. Until someone says something things will continue.
