I want to do the gate valve mod for my euro reef. But I have searched high and low and can not find anyone who sells one. So does anyone know where I can find one locally, or where the closest place you know that sells them.

p.s. I live in fort collins

well i have been talking to ace hardware, and they may be able to special order some. So if anyone is in the same boat as me and is intrested in a gate valve let me know.

Otherwise I am still intrested in local sources since this is still in the early stages.

I would just order it. I also looked for some time and found one place but the thing was crazy big. By the time a local place orders it you could have it sent to your house. Look at asmskimmer.com they should have one that will fit the ER skimmers as they are kind of the same.

1.5in......ace said they could order them if we have enough demand. If not I think I will just get the kit or something. They would be around $25bux each.

This might sound crazy but the Habitat for Humanity store on Santa Fe had a ton of gate valves. I think they were 2ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ and were $5 each. Itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s a great deal.

As Stu mentioned, McGuckins is a good local source. Last time I went there, they were out of 1" valves(because I bought all of them) and they seem slow to reorder things.

I would just mail-order them. Believe it or not, amazon.com sells them.

Have you tried R-N-R on east Mulberry?

yea, they said they could only get in metal ones

I just ordered mine from customaqutics.com. It should be here today. I think it was $14.99 for the 1-1/4".
