Local store closing

I was just down the aquarium shop in hanover today picking up salt and the owner said he was closing up shop. Apparently he is having a sale this weekend also to try and get rid of a bunch of stuff....sad to see another shop close up.

You should check out Knockout aquatics in tannersville. Bit of a drive for you but it would be worth it. Prices are very cheap, great livestock, and the owner is a great guy and very helpful....

Well thank you for the suggestion but we actually visited Knockout Aquatics this past Sunday. We were there for a good hour chatting with the owner and his wife. They are very nice and prices were quite fair as well. I believe we will be visiting that store about once a month to see if any corals catch our interest as well as purchasing tank supplements.

We have also visited Finsanity in Wilkes-Barre. It is also a nice store a bit small but the owner definitely makes all of the room he has useful. He has great prices on corals. When we went there however his fish store was low so we were unable to really gauge how nice the store is.

We are hoping to visit a few other LFS around the area so we have a place to go once Beyond the Reef(Bloomsburg) closes in the coming months.

This really sucks :( two local stores closing. I don't know where I will shop now. With gas prices it would almost be cheaper to buy online and pay shipping then drive over an hour :(

If anyone gets a positive confirmation on a closing sale, let me know. I'm from Harrisburg but wouldn't mind getting some deals. There aren't any really good LFS around me. And the ones that are, aren't the friendliest people and don't take care of their tanks. Still sorry to hear of a good store closing down tho.

There are still a lot of nice corals for sale there and he has a bunch of tanks he is selling. I'm trying to scrape some more cash together to help him and myself out
