I've searched and found a few ideas for extra long gloves.

what is everyone's opinions on the best gloves?

be it short or shoulder length.

I know alot of people prefer nitrile ( obviously non-powdered )

has anyone tried these? are they safe?

but i'd rather buy that other box of 100 disposables i think, if they dont tear too easily, or are usable.

anyway thoughts? opinions? other choices? thanks guys!

I have the second ones on your list from drfostersmith. they work pretty good IMO. I only used them when I have to stick my whole arm in the tank. Use latex for everything else.

I have them, too. Also have a short pair (bought at the local grocery store) for when I'm not diving in.

I rinse my hands in the sink and go into DT bare skinned. Any real reason for the gloves??

Fish: Ocellaris Clown, B&W Clown, Firefish Goby, 6-Line Wrasse, Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp, Fire Shrimp, Banded Coral Shrimp, Peppermint Shrimp, Bristle Worms and CUC.
Reef: 150 lb. Sand, 70 lb. Rock, Frog Spawn, Button Polyps, Mushrooms, Kenya Trees, Brain, Leather Toadstool, Cheato and one aiptasia

I have the second one. Bought it on Amazon and I've been using it for a year without problem. I had disposables before, they just leak too much. Good for 1 or 2 uses... rocks often puncture the glove and you end up with a wet hand..

TBH Ive never used gloves when placing my hands in my tank.. My tank has been running for about 6 years now and never had an issue, I am picky about it though, my hands need to be dry and free of any cologne and moisturizers

depends on what animal you are housing! my maroons will make dinner out of my hands..

and I found out I'm semi allergic to Haddoni stings.. so I only handle carpet anemones with gloves

I also have never used gloves even with a maroon that had made me bleed on occasion.

Ouch! Well I have a clown that nips at my hand when im scrubbing the glass inside but never blood lol.. And I also have an anemone that has touched my arm but never really hurt me.

Clown, Foxface and also I have some palys and zoos that I am unsure if they have the toxin, so I don't take a chance of putting my hand in there and forgetting I did and rub my eyes or something.

I have the thick yellow ones you linked to. What my husband calls Cow Vet gloves. Unfortunately, they only make these in medium through XL, and I need a small or XS. So these are really awkward.

I also have the grocery store variety shorter gloves that I sometimes use with a rubber band to keep the water out.

I've been stung by my frogspawn. A day later I was trying to figure out how I got poison ivy in January - it was that kind of blistery rash. I do have very reactive skin. Sometimes just the water burns - it makes me wonder if anything is emitting somehting into the water.

I have heard of people getting horrible bacterial infections. Do some searching on this site. Precautions are definitely the smart, albeit inconvenient, way to go.

I think the best idea I've seen is a pair of cheaper floppy long disposable ones and then you wear tighter work gloves that are just for the tank over them that have grippy on them and stuff so you don't tear the plastic and you can grab onto things.

I have the second ones that you posted, the only thing with them is that there is a hole in each glove at the top of the sleeve and I guess these are for hanging them up. But I do like them better than the heavy duty red and blue aqua gloves.
