Sorry, no pictures, tanks being shipped out on wednesday.

The tank is 36"x8"x6", 1/2" acrylic, rimless, AIO, built by advanced acrylics, ill be building the AIO section

Internal dimensions are 35x7x 5 1/2"( about 4 3/4"-5" when water is in it), so im looking at around 4 or so gallons, not taking in account for water displacement from the rock, sand, coral ect.

equipment list (i'm sure it will change)

ranco temp. controller

Ebo jager 50w heater

DIY 24 led kit from rapid

several tunze nano power heads

maxi jet return

AIO sections will most likely consist of a media section, fuge, return.

It will be a softie dominated tank, main focus is different kinds of mushrooms, zoas, palys, leathers.

I'm going to try and go for a "low tech" set-up, relying on weekly 1/2 gal water changes to keep my cals, mag, alk levels in check, plus what ever the fish get.

Stocking with most likely consist of few inverts, snails, hermits ect, maybe a clown gobu, or some other type of cool nano fish, haven't really done much research on stocking yet.

going to try out the aqua vitro salt

Anyway, figured if post this here to get you guys interested, pics will be posted when the tank arrives, hopefully by mid next week.

Any stocking suggestions would be welcomed

Neat little tank. Almost identical to the Mr aqua 12G long.

Is it going to sit on a stand, or do you have some other plan for it?

width and length they are the same( before you take into account the 1/2" acrylic), but the mr aqua is 9" high, where this is only 6" high.

Its either going to be on a stand, or on the wall, If on the wall ill most likely weld up some brackets out of 3/4" steel stock. but i'm not sure yet.

Well, i need all of them mainly becuase of the 3ft width. anything less and i think ill get spotlighting. with leads me to my next question.

Should i go with LED's, or a hellolights 36" 2x39W coralvue t-5 retrofit kit, with ATI bulbs? the price of the t-5s will be much cheaper, but not taking into account the bulb replacement every year. what do you guys think?

I'd do the retro led to get the cold exactly as you would like. I know you are going low-tech, but what about the evaporation? Any plans for an ATO?

Worked on the aquascape a bit, this isnt the final location. sorry for the low quality of the pictures, couldnt find the camera so i used my phone,

Get the 80* lenses. They won't spot out as bad as you think. If not you'll definitely need a dimmer and to mount them high above the tank
