long skirts

General answer I found was due to strong flow. I didnt think my flow was that strong as I have 2 mp10's in a 65g tank. They were not even turned up half way. I was looking at the tank last night and realized my return nozzle was pointing directly at the spot where I have the zoas so I pointed it more upward and will see what happens next.

That's your answer.

Let us know if they change afterward, I have a sunnyD frag that is the only one with extended lashes, thought it was just that particular zoa type had longer lashes but it sits under the powerhead, so while not in direct flow it has the flow from the powerhead pulling in water from the sides.

Might try moving it tonight.

Yep, that will do.
I've got the same happening here.

It would be interesting to see if when the flow changes they would go back to shorter skirts.
I can't move my rocks 'cause there is no space.
Yes, please let us know...

will do, luckily this frag hadnt spread off the plug yet so I can just move that, will check back in. The curious part is there is a red paly frag and pandora paly frag next to the sunny D and their lashes arent extended at all.

I bough multiple frags of identical zoas and placed them in my tank. One frag got placed in higher flow and the lashes grew long on that frag, even on pre-existing polyps; not just new ones. Kind of nice, they flow and wave nicely without being bounced around too much.
