long spine urchin

....have a cantalope size urchin I was thinking of putting in with my SHs.........potential problems?

yeah- stabbing incidents, knocking things like rock onto the horses, things like that.

plus, a cantalope size urchin is TOO BIG for a 40 gallon tank

Oakie,
This is not a safe or appropriate tank mate for seahorses. Seahorses have a tendency to hitch to anything even if it's something that is causing them pain.

Do some research and make certain that any stock you place with your horses is safe.
