my long tentacle plate coral is dying :(
anything i can do to save it? i have had it for about 2 weeks now, it was ok for a week and then started to slowly die away, about 1/4 is gone now, i have dipped it in saltwater with teck-D, and recently did a freshwater dip (very short, maybe 1 min) upon the suggestion of a lfs.

i dont know what else to do? is it to late? it is just sluffing off and dying away :(

my bad i didnt research before i bought, but of course the store i got it at said they are super easy, i found out upon research they are a 7 (according to j & l's site) and they like to be in the sandbed? i had it on the rockwork, does that make a difference?

i almost lost my open brain when it was in the rocks, i moved it to the sandbed and it is 100% better (it was dying).

EDIT: my water params are as follows

nitrate: 5
nitrite: 0
ammonia: 0
pH: 7.8

i think my pH is a little low right? we just installed a water purification system a week ago and it has dropped since i did a few water changes with the new water (was at 8.2 with old water)

What's your salinity at? If its any consolation there's not a high survival rate long term for this species of coral that i am aware of

salinity is always 1.025 in my tanks. i wasnt aware that long term survival in captivity is not good for this coral :( or i wouldnt have bought it and supported them being collected.
