Long term elegance care?

Wondering if any one has had success keeping these over a year? I've read a bit about them and I'm thinking that most lights/skimmers these days are more efficient then back in the old days when elegance corals were a staple in the hobby. Having said this I'm thinking an elegance would be great in a softie tank with lower light and perhaps a little bit dirtier water. Anyone have experiences/insight?

Get an aussie elegance if you can. The indo isnt as hardy. I feed mine every otherday with raw shrimo and it move it to its mouth in less than 5 seconds. Mine is a pig. Havent had it that long but so far so good. Mine like medium light intermitten flow.

I have had my elegance since 2006, to be honest I don't know how I did it. I was told 6-12 was it but I took a chance, and here I am. My in under 3-250w 20k MH and in a high flow area. I the first few years I never feed mine, I just recently started to feed it every week within the last few years. Not to mention that my trates are 0 and PO4 is never above .02, I also have a 20 gal long full of cheato a couple mangrove trees and run a GFO reactor.
