Wondering what is the longest anyone has been able to keep a Tree Sponge alive?

So no one has been able to keep a tree sponge alive longer than a year?
I don't believe that. There are smart people on here, some with lots of fancy equipment. Someone must have attempted keeping on of these. Mines two years old and I've fragged it three times. I'm a noobie with nitrates, so I'm sure others have had much more success.

Congrats on keeping a tree sponge for more than a year! Since I hope to keep some sponges in my tank, I'd love to hear about yours. Is yours in a shady spot? Do you target feed it at all? Strong current? Anything you've done that you think may help would be appreciated.
