So I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these fish. all I have ever read about them is they are impossible to ever get to eat and 99% of the time they die. I came across one at my LFS and he showed me it eat, so I took the plunge and got it. It has not stopped eating anything I put in the tank, pellets brine, bloodworms, flakes, you name it and it eats. Now did I get one of the biggest flukes in the hobby, or are they not all that hard because I cannot find really any info on them beside no success.

As I understand it, besides feeding, another problem in keeping the fish is that they get humongous. As in, the size of a dinner plate or larger.

ya I got that too, but also slow growers, according to my fish books it says 200 gallon and I am in the process of setting up a 300 gallon so I should be good.

He/she is awfully neat. I've only seen one in a LFS once and he wasn't that healthy-looking. Is he/she as graceful and regal as they appear to be?

its like she is made of silk. she got a nip on her tail with a litttle hole from my green chromis then the next day it was all healed up.

Wow! Beautiful, just beautiful. I've always wanted to set up like a 50,000-gallon tank and get one of them.... and it happened... in my dream.

Anyway, yeah, I love them. I don't know a whole lot about them, except that getting them to feed and size are the main issues. So, good luck!

my girlfriend's uncle has a school of these in his 1500 gallon in Pittsburgh. i have only seen it once, but it was impressive. they were about 20" tall and really healthy. he didnt have problems with them eating corals, and he had like 4, so odds are against him.
